Supermarkets
Modern-day supermarket chains prepare a larger volume of food onsite creating wastewater with high organic (BOD5) and fat, oil and grease (FOG) content. Many supermarket chains have come to the realization that advanced onsite treatment systems can preserve the life of their drain fields indefinitely. When compared to the cost of a failed septic system and plugged drain field it is estimated that advanced treatment represents a 3-5 year return on investment for supermarkets.
